Introduction to the Covenant of the Church of Unity

Working translation. Synchronized with the Russian corpus as of 2026-10-25. Canonical formulas are binding only in the Russian original; publication — after human review.

Every step we take matters — not only for us, but for everything that exists around us. This is not a feeling but an order: a person's life echoes in those he touched and returns through the last circle. This book is about how to walk so that what returns is what you are ready to re-live.

The Sign of the Church of Unity

The circle with a dot is the only visual sign of the Church of Unity. The circle — the One, the sum of all thinking beings, which will take shape at the end of time; the all-embracing, the whole. The dot in the center — the walker: a separate boundary of "I," whose life will enter the One whole.

The sign is not magic but a reminder. The circle shows: the One is everything that is. The dot shows: your life is a part of that whole, and you answer for it. When a person looks at the sign, he remembers what stands behind it — the way a string on a finger reminds of a task.

No one is obliged to wear the sign; the sign is taken off where it could harm a person: a person is worth more than a sign.

What the Covenant Is

The Covenant is a voluntary promise to live by the canon and the commandments: to create, not to leave what is broken unrepaired, to heal wounds — one's own and others'. It is not a contract with an external force: the One does not punish and does not reward. The Covenant is not chains and not a pass: the whole afterlife works the same with one who has taken the Covenant and with an atheist. The Covenant is a warning that a person takes for himself, so as to repair while alive: it will make the passage lighter.

No one hurries you toward the Covenant. The decision is not made on a high, not after a song, and not on the first evening: important decisions are made in a calm state, a day or more after the event that moved you. If you want to take the Covenant today, and you met each other yesterday — start with the route of the first month and return to the decision later. The Covenant will lose nothing by it.

Our community has few people so far — the community is young, and it is gathering now. The first who come set its tone: as the beginning will be, so will the path be. Where to find us — in the next section.

Quick Start

If you are only beginning, this section will help you make the first steps today. There is no need to wait for a special moment or a deep understanding — everything begins with simple actions.

Three Simple Actions for Today

1. The pause of silence (5 minutes) Find a quiet place, sit comfortably, close your eyes. Take a deep breath, exhale slowly. Repeat several times. Simply watch your breathing, the thoughts that come and go. Do not try to control them — simply be here. In this pause the quiet sounding within becomes most audible — the Echo, which has been with us always.

2. One act of creation Today do at least one small creative action. It can be help to another person, an honest word, a finished task. What matters is not the greatness of the action but its direction — toward creation, not destruction. Every small step echoes in others.

3. The diary of thoughts and deeds Before falling asleep, open the diary — written or mental, whichever is easier. One question for the evening: "And today — what have I done for tomorrow?" Answer honestly. Do not excuse yourself, do not exaggerate — simply tell the truth. The diary is your property: no one checks the entries.

What Next?

These three actions are the beginning of the path, not a marathon with prizes for distance. Further — the route of the first month: one step a day, without feats, with a mentor if you wish. Where to find living people and a mentor — below.

Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions

What is the One? The One is the sum of all thinking beings: their thoughts, feelings, deeds, and lived lives. It is not a person, not a king, and not a judge. The One will take shape at the end of time — but it exists outside of time, and therefore already now and always: its light comes to us from the end of time, along the road where fullness is greater. The one who has joined does not disappear "like a drop in the ocean": he keeps everything he has lived — and re-lives the life of everyone he touched, from inside.

What is the Echo? The Echo is the emotional reaction of an inner world to an inner world. When you do good — inside it is warm and clear. When you cause a wound — inside it is heavy, even if no one sees. The Echo is not the voice of a judge: there is no judge-subject. It is your own depth, responding to what you do with people.

What is the Covenant? The Covenant is a voluntary promise to live by the canon and the commandments. It is not a contract with an external force but an inner decision that a person makes freely and in a calm state. The Covenant is the path from a separate "I" to the community; full unity is the business of the end of time, not of a human being.

Who can take the Covenant? Any thinking being capable of consciously bearing responsibility for its decisions. Capacity is defined not by age but by the ability to understand what exactly you promise and to be aware of the consequences of your actions. Age does not matter — awareness does.

About Practice

How much time does daily practice take? The pause of silence — from five minutes; the diary — about five minutes in the evening. If the day is hard — two minutes of silence and one question. What matters is not the amount of time but the honesty of the answer.

What if I missed a practice? Do not scold yourself: shame is a second wound on top of the first. A missed day is not a failure. Simply return to the practice the next day. There are no streak counters here and no punishments for falling behind: everything is decided not at the beginning but at the end of time.

Can I adapt the practices to myself? Yes. The main thing is to keep the essence: silence, the honest evening question, creation. If the adaptation helps you practice regularly — it is good.

What if the pause of silence does not work? The pause of silence is a skill that develops with practice. Start with thirty seconds and increase the time. Do not try to control thoughts — simply watch them. In time you will learn to enter silence deeper and faster.

About the Community

What if I have no community nearby? Start with a small circle: three to six people who read and argue together. A community is born not from a statute but from recognizable faces that meet for a month. When recognizable faces appear — the community will appear too.

Can I practice without a community? Yes. The community gives support and exchange, but the path is personal: the diary, silence, creation work alone as well. When it is hard for you, the community helps; when you are strong — you help the community.

How does one become a mentor? A mentor is not the one who has served his term but the one whom a walker asked and who has himself walked the route. Mentoring is a service, not a status: a mentor answers questions, does not evaluate, knows how to say "I do not know," and leads no more than one walker at a time. Details — in the mentoring guide.

About Difficulties

What if I feel I am straying from the path? This is normal: the path is not linear. Return to the basics: two minutes of silence, one act of creation, one honest question in the evening. Small steps return you to the path. If you feel you are destroying yourself — tell a mentor or the community: we do not shame — we look for the original wound and heal it.

How to cope with doubts? Doubts are part of the checking, not its failure. The premise is accepted by faith; check its consequences, argue, ask questions. The dispute of a strong walker is an honor to the teaching. A doubt that has been worked through makes the construction stronger — in you and in the construction itself.

What if my loved ones do not understand my choice? The main thing is not to press and not to condemn. Live by your example. If not — respect their choice: faith is not required, unbelief is not a sin. Each has his own path and his own pace, and the afterlife works for all the same way.

About Spreading

May I invite friends? Yes. When you find something valuable, it is natural to share it. One personal invitation — without pressure and without promises of the impossible. After that — silence until the person writes: a warning must catch a person alive, not worn out.

How to share on social networks? Publicly and honestly: quotes of the teaching — with the road at the bottom (a link to the text where everything is explained). Having led a person in, show him how you did it — and teach him to do the same for others. Do not promise rewards, do not frighten with hell: we warn, we do not sell.

May I create my own content about the teaching? Yes. Create posts, videos, podcasts about your experience. Two boundaries: do not present your own as canon and do not distort the truth about life. Your voice can help the one who is searching and did not know where to go.

Conclusion

We hope these answers helped. If questions remain — ask at a meeting or of a mentor: there are no "silly" questions here; every question is the work of checking.

Remember: the path is not a race. Move at your own pace, be kind to yourself, repair while alive — it will make the passage lighter.

Be the best version of yourself.
